To Overcome Water Crisis, India Plans To Build Desalination Plants Along Its 7,800-km Coastline – India
In the near future, 40% of the country is looking at water scarcity. Ministers are starting to wake up to the problem. Arvind Kejriwal announced rainwater harvesting processes that will be carried out in Delhi.
Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman also announced government’s plan to provide potable water to each rural household by 2024. And now, a nationwide ambitious project of desalinating sea water seems to be in the pipeline.
