The workshop will feature 4 days of lectures and discussions providing a theoretical basis and practical information on the main aspects of thermal desalination based on independent knowledge. This workshop is divided in different parts:

1) Fundamental Aspects (Water, Technology)

2) MSF (Single through, recirculation)

3) MED, MED-TVC, MVC

4) Pre- & Post Treatment, Material, Costs

5) Environment & Future Developments

DME addresses all those who are involved in the desalination industry including suppliers of components and complete systems, chemicals and materials, consultants and other service providers as well as researchers who wish to gain a broad overview and a more detailed understanding of thermal desalination. 

The Workshop will feature 4 days of full class lectures covering chemistry of saline waters, design of the main desalination plants like MSF, MED, TVC and MVC, components and instrumentation. Discussions, calculations of case studies and a field trip will lead to a better understanding and a deeper knowledge.

After a successful exam (voluntary) DME will hand over its certificate to the student. The workshop will be held in English language by renowned experts who will report on achievements, latest developments and solutions in the field of modern membrane water desalination.
